TWO Snowy FREEBIES for You!

Not going to lie. I am a little sad that break is almost over.  It sure went by fast {but doesn't it always?!} Even though I wouldn't mind being home for another week or two, I am excited about our snow/snowman unit! :) We will be doing a lot of the same ideas from last year, but I have revamped a couple which I would like to share with you!

The first item is a page from my Graphic Organizers for the Whole Year- I just added some wintery clipart to it! It's a Snowy Story Map that can be done with any nonfiction wintery book! We will be doing it with The Biggest, Best Snowman. Click on the picture to get your copy!

Next, I saw an idea on Pinterest last year to teach the states of matter. You make a snowman out of ice {we made ours out of shaved ice...more like snow}. Then you put him in an electric skillet and watch... Who thought watching ice melt would be so interesting!!? {Seriously, the kids were SO into it last year!} Your students get to see your snowman as a solid, liquid and gas! I made this little record sheet to go along with the activity :)

If you download these pages, be sure to leave a comment here and/or feedback on my little store :) And don't forget that a Snowman Glyph would be the perfect addition to your snowy unit!

I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!

  1. I love your snowman products! Thanks so much for creating the sequencing sheet for the Life Cycle of a Snowman - I love it! I have also pinned your Snowy Story Map to our #2ndchat Snowmen at Night board on Pinerest. We are doing a read aloud of this book the week of January 14th and are looking for great activities to do and share with each other via skype and blogging. Join in on the fun! #2ndchat Wiki
