{Thanks to Krista Wallden for the cute button!}
First off, I am joining many other bloggers in a Spring Cleaning Sale! Everything in my store will be 20% off March 30 & 31.
I am soooo enjoying my day off :) This past week was conference week, and we always get the Friday after conferences off! I cannot tell you how awesome our parents made us feel! They seemed to be really happy and excited about our team teaching, so it was a nice confidence booster :) We have some of the best families in our class and it's kind of sad thinking that we only have about 8 more weeks with our babies :(
This week we studied frogs, and it was definitely a high interest unit! We used most of the items found in my NEW Fun With Frogs mini-unit {which I will be giving away}! Here are some of the books we read during the week:
We started our week reading Froggy's Sleepover! Our kids loved this story, and it was a fun intro :) We reviewed synonyms and antonyms, sequenced the story, and worked on character traits {all in the mini unit}! The focus was to find evidence from the text to support their answer. We used the smartboard to practice together first, then the kids worked independently.
We illustrated and wrote about the life cycle of a frog:
We also made these little Froggy Fact Books :) Did you know that frogs do not have lips? That was a fact that stuck with a LOT of our kiddos! LOVE IT!
Be sure to check out my Fun With Frogs mini unit on TpT for lots more ideas :) Click the picture below and download the preview file to see everything :) As always, the first person to comment will get a free copy!! **Be sure to leave your email address!**
This looks great! We are going to be studying frogs and life cycles in several weeks!
